The parts blanks are in from the sawmill, and it is time to get started. The 6x6 posts were set four feet deep into sonotube caissons and filled with concrete.

Gene, Those gates should look great when finished. Don't forget to take pictures along the way! Are you using any particular type of joinery for the main supporting members--M&T, half-lap? Are you going to paint or stain, or just let the wood (cedar, redwood, cypress?) weather naturally?
