    Redo of 19" Dyed Ash

Last week I posted this bowl. After I finished I noticed a 6" ring in the bottom of the bowl. It kept bothering me, so I sanded out the interior with 60 grit sand paper and reworked in surface. The center was dyed yellow, then added some red to make orange, then solid red and near the rim is red with some black added. I then mixed Pearl ex and wax in gold near the rim and then silver in the middle. I dry brushed bright gold over the yellow and russet over the red. It now has a shimmer when moved in the light.

If you are going to color - go bold! Love it, still shows the grain patterns and that it is WOOD!
