    Sliding shelf

Ya know wood working is making me feel younger. I'm happy with the way the design and most of the construction has turned out on my mitre bench. So much so that I like to show my friends here at the Creek. This shelf is for general storage/maybe a planer. It began with a hole in my bench that I needed to fill. Have what I consider to be enough drawers. And I don't like shelves on the walls because of dust collecting on every flat surface in the shop. So I came up with a sliding shelf with 100lb full extension drawer slides. This should handle most anything I may need to store, I hope.

This is the last of the drawers/shelves for my mitre bench. The next item on the adjenda is the face frames.

Looks nice Jim. We have some similar sliding shelves in the kitchen and they're very handy. It makes sense for a shop bench.
