Well, was out and about bright and early this morning. Found a sale that had opened early. Dug around in a plastic tub, again. Went past the handsaws, already have enough of those. Off to the side of the tub

Hmmm, well if the price isn't too steep..

Paid the fellow the $2 price, and went on to other sales...

Got a chance to look this over, while waiting on the Boss to finish her shopping...
One Patent date
Large brass wheel
Frog adjust bolt
Rosewood handles, high knob in front, without a ring, neither handle has any cracks
Iron has the clipped corner logo, with the SW under it
Thinking this just MIGHT be a type 13....

Even had a test track. Iron did need to be squared to the sides. It does have the SW logo, though..

Cost me $10!! Auburn Tool Co, of Auburn NY. Says it is an Inch 1/2"

1-1/2" wide, skewed iron. Still trying to learn HOW to use this one. The logo also includes a star, with the Auburn Tool Co. arched over it. Trying to read the model numbers stamped into the heel...

Might just be worth the ten-spot?
There was a saw for sale where the Stanley No.4 T-13 came from....well there WAS two. I got there a bit late, only to see someone had picked the Non-Disston saw,,whew.

Readable etch, says this is a Henry Disston & Sons D-23 Lightweight. 8ppi, 26" long. Seems to be filed crosscut. Nickle plated bolts on the "show side", brass on the other

Need to work on the skewed rebate plane's iron later.....Worn badly on one side, a little bit too "skewed".

Saw needs a bit more clean up, and the etch raised a bit more.

Two drawknikes need some edge work...

Not too bad a weekend, only spent $27 for all of the goodies I brought home.

D-23 cuts like new, haven't even sharpened it yet..

Had to re-do the edge on the Skewed rebate plate, works nicely now.

As for that Stanley #4 T-13? It has found a home, I think...

Here along with it's "family" T-10 No.6c,...T-17, No. 5-1/2,....T-6, No. 5c and the No.4....There is almost enough room in the till....

The red one is a Corsair C-5 ScrubJack. Millers Falls include the No.8, No. 9, No.11, No. 14, and a No.56B.
Stanleys include a No.9-1/4, 9-1/2 Knuckle, pair of 220s and a spokeshave. A Dunlap York pitch and a Wards #3 from WWII (Stanley #3)

The Windsor #33 Scrub plane is trying to hide, camera shy??

The vise that came with the barn sale stuff, has found a home , as well...

Have an auction nearby tomorrow...10am sharp! Might be worth the trip over about 6 blocks from my house...
