I purchased a sweet crab lock from whitechapel to install on my anarchist tool chest I've been building. I ran into a snag and need some advice. The top of the lock sits flush on the carcass edge. The screws that came with it are round slotted. This prevents the lid from shutting. Any suggestions? Some of my ideas: Buy flathead slot screws, drill holes in the lid for the screw heads to fit, lower the crab lock to make the screws flush but which might leave fragile edges around lock mortice and prevent lock mate for reaching far enough. Whatcha think?
