If it hasn't been damaged or run over by a truck, probably.

    Any chance for a picture?

Looks good, have you checked it for square?

Is there a hole under the level to hold a scribe?

I am not much of a combo square user. Fixed squares tend to be my go to users.

I checked it with a machinist square and it is square I'm about to start drawing lines from opposite sides to further check the accuracy. It would have been great if it was a 6 inch but my eyes lit up at the flea market when I read the brand.

  9. Are you sure the square head is starrett?

Looks like a Starrett to me. There are at least a couple of different types of heads. I may be one of the few that got any that were cheaper. I was given a half dozen different sizes, and a bunch of other machinist measuring and drawing tools as a gift from a dear old Friend who could no longer work.

I'm very happy I spotted this. Now if I can find a 6 inch cheap I will be thrilled. But I'm not that lucky

Sounds like you have more luck than you think.
