    3mm ACM Edging

Working on a project and I'm most likely going to use 3mm ACM as the backer panel for a simple sign. I'd like to finish the edge with some sort of black rubber "gasket" type material.

Anyone have any suggestions? I found this: http://www.mcmaster.com/#trim-molding/=zig7i7. I'd like it to be able to go around radius corners.

Try Outwater, everyone should have their 2" thick catalog, if only for reading.

    Hi Ross,

All of my dealings with edge trim are not very favorable for following outside radii of small size. Most of the trim types don't like small radii. The caterpillar type will work but is not that good looking. There are also some types that have adhesive pre-applied. I would stay away from all of them if possible, unless you are dealing with larger radii and maybe have a mechanical way to fasten the edge trim in some way.

I just completed my first sign using ACM 6mm, and I left the edge as cut. It painted well and looks great. I guess it depends on what you are cutting the ACM panel with that determines if you want to cover it.
