    Box made from MDF baseboard

I made this small box from leftover MDF baseboard. It's lined and includes a lift out tray. The video provides an overview of the features.

Marty, it looks really crisp and clean. Do you have a recommendation for sealing the edges to give them a smooth finish when painted ? I really like the way the surface of MDF takes paint but not so much the edges.

If I wanted a very smooth edge, I would sand to 220, apply a couple coats of de-waxed shellac, sand smooth, and then apply a finish. Thanks for the comments.
