Any experience with the Grizzly0458 18" sanding drum. Like the fact that the table moves rather than the drum somewhat like a planner. Wish it had 4" dust collection, so any information pro or con would be helpful.

No experience with that model. I agree about the 2 1/2" port though, not only due to its smaller size, but also the placement. It seems like both factors would make it less effective than the larger, centrally located port on the Jet/Performax. Effective dust collection is pretty critical on drum sanders as they generate a ton of dust so this design would give me pause unless/until I saw one in person to confirm the collection is good.
The Jet also as a 5" drum vs. the 4" drum on the Grizzly, but I don't know how much difference that would make. From watching the video, it looks like a surprising number of tools are needed to change the paper on the Grizzly as well. OTOH, it is 2" wider and is $250 or so cheaper than the Jet 16/32.
