Use a Festool Domino on a Crib

I'm going to be building a crib for our first child and bought a set of plans from Rockler. I also picked up a Festool Domino which I haven't used at all yet. The plans call for two mortises about 6" tall in each leg to put the upper and lower rails in. It's not all that difficult to construct as the legs are laminated from three pieces and you just dado a notch in the middle lamination.

Sorry for the simple question but is this the perfect place to use the Domino to save a little time or should I stick with the planned joint on something like this that could receive quite a bit of stress?

    Thanks,

    Travis

The Domino can definitely make a project like a crib both easier and quicker. You will have to modify the plans--making the legs solid instead of building-in a mortise during glue-up--- then cutting the mortises with the Domino, but the resulting joints should be plenty strong.

    Jerry,

Thanks for the response. That's what I was hoping for, I can use my new toy.
