Question for why post was stopped

I ask this only to understand, not to be argumentative. I started a thread asking what others were selling trying to get an idea of what was hot. Did I break a rule

Didn't see the thread, but threads like those tend to head in a few different directions, most of which are spammy. Some ask so they can bait the waters and get a sale in on the sly. Some do it to find out the most they can ask for an item rather than setting a price from the beginning. Etc.

Being a Member rather than a Contributor also has an effect on if the thread is moved or just removed altogether.
