I enjoyed that. So many died so young. Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers is alive and kicking. His album "Damn Near Righteous" from 2007 is one of my favorites.

"Ziggy played guitar, jamming good with Weird and Gilly,
And the spiders from Mars. He played it left hand
    But made it too far
Became the special man, then we were Ziggy's band"

He was always 3-5 years ahead of everyone else in music - really out on the bleeding edge - again and again. Look up David and Mick performing Dancing in the Streets. I like it even better than the original (Martha and the Vandellas), and that takes some doing. Such talent.

    Rest in Peace Ziggy.

I liked some of his music a great deal. I'm sad to hear he passed.

A nice video of his with Tina Turner:

Bowie had A LOT of great stuff. What is your favorite? For me, I just love "Under Pressure" with Queen. David and Freddie: mega-awesome duo! "Fame" is another one.

I love the whole ziggy stardust and the s f m album. Rock and roll su----- is my fave. Chris you should find the acapella version of under pressure by Bowie and Mercury. It's on YouTube. I think someone just edited out the music and left the voice track from the original song. It is amazing and haunting.

I remember that too. One of my all time Christmas performances. Shows that things that you wouldn't expect to work together, can be wonderful.

Local artists "vandalized" a street sign for Bowie St. here in town to this...

The City apparently is letting the signs stay up for a week, then will take them down.

Great video with Tina Turner in the link above. Love how the fan is clinging on to Bowie with all her might!

So many good songs from Bowie and his collaborations were so memorable. Mick Jagger, Queen, Bing Crosby. I read this article about Crosby/Bowie when it first came out. The duet almost didn't happen. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/exclusive-bowie-little-drummer-boy-duet-20141124
I read recipes the same way I read science fiction. I get to the end and I think, "Well, that’s not going to happen."
