    Etched copper engraving question

I want to have an etched copper plaque made that includes writing and an image from a jpeg file. I found a website that does this work but they haven't responded to my questions. Its only been a few days so I may hear from them yet.

I'm not familiar with the process and don't know if it's computerized.

See attached photo of an etched plaque they sell and the image I want to incorporate into my custom plaque.

If you can make plaques like these or know someone who does quality work, please chime in.

    Thanks,

    Harry

Can't tell you how they did it exactly but that is one of my favorite songs!

This would be easy to do I think... cover a copper plate in enamel (or a thick coat of paint) and laser off what you want to etch. After you laser off everything dip it in Ferric Nitrate for a while. You could speed it with electrolysis but not needed.
