    Tissue box covers from scraps

I hate to throw away scraps and so have piles of them! Here are two tissue box covers. One is bloodwood and holly, the other is canarywood. The finish is General Finishes High Performance water-based topcoat (mostly acrylic). I have found that oil-based finishes turn bloodwood brown and also turn canarywood brown. Enjoy!

Never seen that the plastic covers were any improvement . These are an elegant indulgence not to be sneezed at.

Great stuff John and a great idea of how to minimize that scrap pile.
