    Asus Router Security Issues

    This may be old news to some but I ran across this article regarding Asus router security issues this morning. Asus is in trouble with the FTC for failing to protect comsumers as promised by their advertising, etc

    Consumer grade routers running stock firmware and settings are not known to be the most secure things around. I guess Asus' sin was to claim they were.

    Thanks for posting, made me check for updates and there was one. I hate updating firmware as it seems to cause problems when none was there before but this time all went well. I think there sin was they make it sound as though it was great out of the box without setting anything else up.
