  1. #1

construction of 2 solid surface seam vac clamps

used 1/2 grey corian sink cut outs to make 2 vac clamps for joining solid surface pieces
just apply the pucks at the joint and use 2 clamps to pull in on the glue joint
takes a small vac pump 1/3 hp running at -18.The puck is flexible and 2 sizes of vac o rings can be used

Nice work. Here's a good source for various types of gasket material.

You can use window sealing products as well and just cut it to the length you need and route it in the area you need.

    Thanks Stan,

Your clamp design is slick, should be a big help joining Corian seams. I'll have to build me a couple sets.

question "You going to implement vertical adjustment too? "
The commercial ones I saw did that ,but as of right now ,I don't know of any small piston type shock that a vac could pull in
but one day it will hit me and I will modify this design

Most of the top shops that I know of use wooden squares glued to the Corian with hot glue to join seams with clamps so it doesn't take much clamping pressure to do the job.

Or just use a hook lever to cam one side higher or lower like in this video

the hook lever is something I will add its to level up the 2 corian pieces but his pucks draw into each other along with holding down
Thanks for the idea just wish I could figure how to draw the 2 pucks inwards ,maybe a lever type clamp as its not a lot of clamp pressure

Use a turn buckle to draw them together. Have it on a post at each end to get the most travel.
