    Plane & Diagonal Sticks

I just finished a small polishing plane. The body is Cherry and the sole, wedge and cross pin are Hickory. The Hock iron and breaker are 1 1/4" wide.

I also made a couple sets of diagonal sticks from some Post Oak scrap. The longest one is 26" and the short one is 13" (closed position). They are handy for checking case work for square.

    Nice job on all!

Did you cut the wood yourself?

Good job, Cody. Shop made tools are satisfying to use.

I sawed the Post Oak about 5 years ago, right after I got my mill. The Cherry was from a friend who has a sawmill. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks, Paul. Yes it is very satisfying to make (and use) tools.
