    Kaleidoscope

    Have any of you fellas in the spinny world ever made a kaleidoscope on the lathe?

    I've been making them in the flat world, with a wand in them, but was wondering if anyone ever made a more traditional one by turning the barrel.

    Made quite a few of various shapes. I like all three of the kits at craftsupplies USA.

    Lee Valley has (had) a kit. Made one a few years ago for my Grandson.

    Jim Duxbury in NC knows more about making kaleidoscopes than anyone I know of. Check out his website. http://www.duxterity.com/ec/ We did a hands on with him here and we all made one.
