    First shave brushes

First I need to thank Matt Zettl for all his help in this project. I could not have done this without him!! I made two brushes, one for myself the other for my father. I gave the one that I liked best to my dad. I like the form on his better. Thanks for looking.

Nice job Jeff. Both look great am I'm sure it was well received. These little "nik-nak" surprises sure do light up the faces of the receiving party.

Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!

Nice work, and a great gift idea. I don't have a lathe to turn on but wonder if something this size could be shaped on a drill press with rasps and sandpaper.

Is that just a straight poly top coat?

Mike, I finished these with CA clue. You can see how it is done by looking up CA glue finish on youtube.

Jeffrey, those look great, a fantastic job, especially for your first brushes. I know that your father was thrilled. I also like your knot choices, and they complement the handles well. The only thing better than making a badger hair shaving brush is using it. Enjoy.
