    table saw lubrication...other's experience/practices

    i cleaned and lubricated my Powermatic 66 table saw about 6 months ago and the controls (blade raising and tilting) are getting stiff again..hard to turn...This time I used one of those new fangled dry lubricant spray by locktite, instead of lithium grease or paste wax (which in both instances lasted many years) as I have used in the years past. So my question is ...What do you use to lubricate the blade controls on your saws? and How long should someone expect it to last?

    Grease works the best and lasts the longest

    I use paraffin rubbed on or melted and brushed on. Lasts for years and doesn't attract dirt or dust.

    Grease = sawdust magnet.

    I've tried everything. Grease. Lasts a few months. Everything else has a life span of weeks on our main saw.

    Yep, sawdust sticks to it, doesn't matter though. Still slippery for a long time.

    Grease collects dust.
    Use paraffin wax.
    Never, under any circumstances, consume a laxative and sleeping pill, on the same night

    Doesn't last. I've tried it, a few times.
