Nice bench / seat. What kind of wood do you think was used?

Saw this in a model home a little north of Tucson.

Very nice work. Did one of you Creekers do it? What is the wood? I believe that back slat part is coopered a little bit.

Wish I had taken a pic of the whole thing and done a little measuring. BTW, it was quite comfortable.

I tried modeling it in Sketchup.

Center backrest part needs to be more "organic" in shape, crest rail needs to be a little fatter. Slab parts all 1.25" thick, could be slightly heavier, maybe 1-3/8".

Edit: Worked a little more on it to improve the back center slat part with the wishbone feature. Put it up on the 3D Warehouse. Search "Settee" and you will find.

The design looks like two pieces awkwardly crammed together. The left end is all about lightness and air. The right end is slabby and solid. I'd pick one or the other for the settee, but not both.
