My new toy is running (almost)

Got my CNC up and running. Just need to get 220v to the spindle. Went as planned so far!

Congrats, it looks very nice! I think you will like the air cooled spindle.

I like my Camaster, but I really want to build a CNC Router Parts kit 4 X 8 pro machine with an air cooled spindle. I would enjoy the challenge.

That looks really nice but a 4x8 is too big to call a toy! I'm getting a 2x4 in about a month, so relative to yours mine will be a toy.

Really nice looking Keith! Is at a diy CNC you are putting together or a kit CNC?

I purchased the cncrouterparts pro 4x8 kit with electronics and spindle with nema34 motors. I'm using fusion360, v-carve pro & Mach-3 for control. I love it, and the company is awesome. I'm a newbie and would send an email with a question, and they would call me and walk me through any question or issue. I'd highly recommend them.

What is the total cost for a 4x8 when you get it done?

    Thanks Bill

Sorry just saw this. By the time I bought all the bells -n- whistles it was about 11k I've spent another 500 yesterday on some cnc bits.

Costs included the leg kit, rails, electronics and the spindle kit, and software. I had an old laptop that I'm using for my control pc. I went with vcarvepro and mach3. I did get the agreement that if I decide to want to upgrade to aspire i will get the diff in price for 1 year.

I had to add two breakers for the circuit for the control box and a 220v one for the spindle.

I highly reccomend the plug-n-play electronics. It worked like a charm and the support was fantastic and walked me through everything over the phone that I had quesitons on.
