Just a simple box with pretty wood

This is the ninth in a series of large walnut keepsake boxes that I have made for family members. This one is the fanciest, with curly walnut veneer, backed by Okoume, both from Veneer Supplies. The box is 20" x 14" x 9.5", close to golden ratio proportions. The outside corner edges are solid walnut 1/8" x 1/8" which will protect the veneer from chipping. The finish is: first coat of General Finishes Seal-a-Cell, followed by several coats of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal (wipe off finish), the last coat is Arm-R-Seal cut 50% with mineral spirits, applied with a top-quality brush and not wiped. This gives me a gloss finish that shows slight wood pores, but not sprayed (I don't have a sprayer). The fittings are antique brass finished; I toned the bright brass machine screws to match. The tray bottom is covered with self-adhesive velvet from Rockler. Thanks for your feedback.
