    "Dragon Teapot"

"Dragon teapot" turned from Big Leaf Maple, dyed with transtint dye. Handle and spout carved.

That is really neat. What is the light material.

I like the tea pot. It's shape and red die are striking. Still processing the dragon part.

That is really cool. I like the contrasting colors and how you encorporated the live edge. Do you have a pic of what the wood looked like before turning. That would be really interesting to see.

The white material is the top of the burl. This was a Big Leaf Maple Burl. The body, handle and spout are all one piece. Turned on 3 axis and carved the handle and the spout. The burl top was bleached to whiten it

Wow, outstanding turning Ron. Not only is it gorgeous, but I'm scratching my head wondering how you did it. Love it.

That is incredible. Would love to see some pics of what the piece looked like early on with the three axis turnings. The bleached burl edge makes the piece!

Ron, thanks for those pics. I could not picture how it was done. That thing had to sound like a helicopter landing while you were hollowing.
