Do credit cards routinely offer life insurance ?

I recall "in the old days" that many credit cards touted free or low cost life insurance as benefit. Is this common nowadays?

What about a more restricted type of life insurance - loss of life in an air travel accident etc. ?

Some offer accident insurance. You'd have to read the credit card benefits statement. At least one of my cards has it. I haven't checked the others.

My AMEX card (Skymiles) includes several types of insurance including travel life/loss insurance.
