    Speaking of Clamps...

Does anyone here besides luthiers use shop-built, wooden cam clamps?

I've used a few. Usually for far reach or on something too fragile for heavy clamps. If the the pieces to be glued fit together well they provide plenty of pressure. And they are pretty easy to make.

I use them anytime I glue up a panel.

Low pressure indeed. I made my own and they get used for guitar making and very occasionally for general woodworking.
