"Campbell's Hands on Retreat"

Last week I held my second annual "Hands on Retreat" Attended by turners and wanna bee turners from Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Arizona, New York, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and yes Michigan. Classes in basic bowl, natural edge bowl, platters, thin platters, ornaments, hollowing, Alumilite resin casting, carving, texturing and more. 50 turners with 25 lathes all having fun from early morning to late evening. Several people camped allowing them more time at the turning barn and tent. Professional this year was Johannes Michaelson, Mr Hat. Many took his class on making a mini hat. Next years event has been moved to Sept. One professional hired and looking for the second.
