    Queen Bed Wood Selection

I'm about to start on a bed and will be needing to try and match, or at least get close to a chest of drawers. It's in the range of mahogany but a little more red. The chest of drawers is made of oak and what looks to be cherry. The fronts are oak and the drawer sides and bottom are the other wood. What wood would you guys suggest I use for trying to match these? I could use oak and stain it but that's gonna be a heavy bed. Thanks guys!

Brian, can you give us some photos of the chest and the drawers?

Ha sorry forgot to check back again after no one commented for a while. Guess I should have started with a photo. :-)
I ended up going with oak for the rustic stained look. Although I kind of wish I had chosen ash since it will be stained cause this oak looks so good I don't want to stain it now!2016-07-28 11.40.54.jpg

You might want to consider sapele if your budget can handle it.
