Didn't Want to HiJack the Japanese Saw Thread

One of my current projects has a need for a lot of stopped rip cut kerfs. This is to bend a piece in a glued lamination. I have seen this before but haven't done it until a few days ago on a practice gluing.

I was using one of my Japanese saws. After reading the Japanese saw thread it came to my that I have the blade from an old ryoba stashed behind one of my tool boxes. It was cut to size using a large pair of tin snips. Used a piece of scrap pine for the handle.

It seems to work rather well for what I am doing.

With the other piece left over maybe I can make a similar saw for doing crosscutting.

The brush is held in the vise to knock the saw shavings out of the teeth.
