Hi All,
Hoping someone can help with a lever cap ID. Any thoughts on which plane maker may have used a cap such as this? Or whether it's something that was available from the aftermarket?

Those were the ones Sargent placed on the #3416 Trans. Plane, and others. Someone placed it on a "regular" plane, instead....maybe as a replacement?

I have seen transitional caps used as replacements on metallic planes more than a few times.
Some people think, "parts is parts."

Yup, paint. White paint. No surprise here
I'm surprised it fits!
FWIW, that's a really nice looking cap. A improvement on the original, if it does it's job properly & everything lines up correctly.
Agreed, I think I'll build up a franken-plane around one!
