Truly an excellent result for your project! And wow...that piece of wood is stellar...

Thanks Jim. Yes, that piece of wood is absolutely on fire. The wood is the star in this piece to be sure.

A couple more pictures from a lower vantage point.

It's off the beaten path, but I think you did an excellent job. Very creative and that table top is simply beautiful. Thanks for sharing

    Michael:

Thanks for the comment- a good way of putting it - off the beaten path. I was trying to accomplish just that, without being crazy, but still functional.

Beautiful work, Dave. You know what's going to happen, don't you? Someone is going to love that piece and want a second for the other side of their couch. Better get started now.

Thanks Phil. As for the board, the figure on this BLM is so unique that I doubt I will ever see another quite like it. What I am trying to say is there won't be a matching board out there.
A lot of work; I probably won't ever make another. This one is for sale at an Art Show for three more weeks. You never know-----

Thanks Ken and Michael for the kind words.

The local ' Community Forest ' board is putting on a Wood Expo tomorrow to showcase local wood ( which we are blessed with) products.
Our WW Guild has a couple of tables, so the table will make another appearance.

    Have a great weekend everyone.
