small stool build using fillets for tight joints

Built this small stool to show how tight a square piece can fit in a hole machined out with a 1/4 end mill using
    fillets
this shows a mortise and tenon joint using a cnc machine
a recessed corner technique and how neat it looks after it done
with no touch up with a small saw

Looks good and sturdy, Stan. Nice design.

I think if I build this, I'll leave a "skin" of about 1/8" in the mortise so the leg joints don't show on the top surface.

Also, I wonder if you could get by with less depth in the dogbone corners, so they don't show? I know that is all hidden on the underside so doesn't really change the looks, but it might change how tight the joint is.

Nice project for a youngster, too.

that should work ok, going right through sort of leaves it that you might not need glue
