This has been a long time in the making, but this is a big oak tree that got blown down in a storm about 2 years ago. I milled it up, got it kiln dried, then made a pair of benches (one with and one without a back).

Very nice. Was the tree on your property? Where did the legs come from?
The tree was not on my property, but the table was made for the owner of the property. I had the legs made at a local weld shop and got them blasted and clear powder-coated.

Really lovely table and kudos on turning a sad situation into a beautiful piece of craftsmanship that will endure.

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
There is great satisfaction, and required patience, in creating a fine piece of furniture out of a tree, through all the steps required to get there. Very nicely done.
Happy to see that big tree chose to fall where it did and not a little to the left !

Can I see a close up of the top? Looks well finished.
