I was starting to work on a piece of hickory yesterday. I needed to make a cross cut in the breakdown process. I had a ryoba at hand so just used it. I made the cut and got this. It was so slick and clean that I don't think I could improve it much with a plane.

Anytime I get a crosscut that clean I've cut the board too short.
