    holllowing tools for small vessels

I am checking into hollowing tools for small vessels, less than 8" diameter and 12" tall. The carbide tip tools seem best choice to me. Have decided to get either the Rolly Munro tools which comes with an adjustable head which has depth control or the Mike Jackofsky tools which do not have either of those features. Does anyone use the Munro tools? Do the depth control and adjustable head work ok or not?

Also question whether to get calipers of Jamieson type hollowing system.

Alan, there is soooo much good information here in past threads that I recommend you 'search' for hollowing tools. There is a LOT of information most of it pretty up to date.

I think this equates nicely to wood turning as well . . . . .

I will second Peter's advise and add suggestion that 12" tall is not usually considered "small".
