Hello, does anyone have any tips for laying down Duets Contours material on a sheet of acrylic (or any material for that matter) as smoothly as possible? I'll be laying a piece approximately 22"x18" down and during a "trial run" ended up with some small particles between the adhesive and the acrylic that really spoiled things. It was very easy to see the bumps through the Duets Contours material as it is of shiny aluminum color. I've learned that lesson and will be moving to a more static-free environment. The main concern is air bubbles of which I had a few during "the trial". I've done this stuff when I was younger (30 years ago) and am coming full circle back to the signs, plaques, etc. business. I'm wondering if perhaps I should soften the Duets Contours material just a little with a heat gun before pulling the protective backing and rolling the sheet onto the acrylic - or if that will ruin it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
