Hi all,
another question? Do I need a TEFC motor for a down draft table? Seems that would be over kill since the motor is downstream of the filters.

I try to use TEFC everywhere in my shop. Kinda like insurance.

On the other hand, I still have five fingers.
Even though the motoer will be downstream of your filters, some dust is going to get through/around the filters. I would use a TEFC motor.
