Dresser project (continuation of Dresser Layout)

Cockbeading. First time. Quite nerve racking.

I'm open for suggestions on how you all do it.

    1. Scribed line for Xcut:

    2. Cut using dado and sacrificial fence:

    3. Chamfer edge to avoid tear out (the first one I did blew out a huge chunk).

I made a jig for trimming miters and will post some pics of how I'm applying.

    Cockbeading:

    1. After trimming top/bottom to length, cut miter:

    2. A jig I made for fine tuning the miter:

    3. Adjust sides

I got side tracked on a couple Christmas presents, installing new bandsaw tire, and re-doing the veneer on one of the drawer fronts so I'll post again when they are finished.

If you have a lot of experience doing these I'm open for suggestions. One guy said shooting some pin nails prior to clamping helps keep them from moving.

I've only got one drawer done so far and now I realize the beading is too proud so I'll either try to lower and re do the round or totally remove and start over.

This has been a long project but after the cockbeading all that's left is the top.

    Thanks for looking.
