I have used both and can not tell the difference but cut KD hardwood. Any build-up I get is at the teeth.

I have two of the full kerf red ones I bought when Amazon had a super sale on them.
I've used one now for a few years and it's still doing fine.
My best guess is I've run about 500 board feet of KD cherry and red oak through it.

I used the Silver ICE blades when working with old yellow pine which was loaded with resin. Worked well for that application. Other woods may not need that blade due to lower potential for resin/pitch build up on blades.

On the other hand, I still have five fingers.
