    Sometimes the customer knows best

I don't generally use customer supplied wood, as it may or may not be properly dried, but sometimes the customer comes up with some nifty looking stuff. This case; Curly Ambrosia Maple.
    12" dovetail: 12" x 2" x 0.020" canted, 16ppi x 10* rake x 0* fleam
    12" small carcass:12" x 3" x 0.025", 13ppi x 12.5* rake x 12.5* fleam ( splitting hairs a bit )
    14" sash /large carcass: 14" x 3.5" x 0.025", 12ppi x 15* rake x 20* fleam
    16" Tenon:16" x 4" x 0.032", 11ppi x 10* rake x 0* fleam

Beautiful variation to your quality saws Ron. Inspiring to say the least. Someday I will save enough money for one of your functional art pieces. I have always believed that beauty and quality inspire the same.

I'm curious, what will you follow up that order with?

    Beautiful saws.

How long did it take to do that order?

    Hi Lowell.
To fill the order or do the order. Last spring and summer were; well not so much fun. Hand infections, and other health issues took their toll and I wound up way behind. That's why I stopped taking custom orders for a while. Better to loose the business at the start than to have unhappy folks. The kind gentleman ordered them in Feb. or Mar. So a long awaited arrival. He knew in advance as I do stay in contact with folks along the way. My daily/ nightly routine. Sometimes wee hours of the morning. Fortunately I have pretty much climbed out of that hole. As always, one man show in a three ring circus.
