    File Cabinet

I recently finished this two drawer file cabinet. the top is purpleheart, base/drawer fronts are walnut and the cabinet is ebonized ash. The drawer fronts are bandsawn veneers from a piece with nice curl. Thanks for looking and happy woodworking.

Beautiful work George. The different woods is a nice touch, and wow on the walnut curl!

That curly walnut is beautiful and compliments the Ash cab. I like the feet and pulls also. Nice work. May I ask what method you used to ebonize the ash?

Thanks for the compliments Jon. I use Behlen Solar-Lux Jet lack Stain to achieve the ebonized effect. I apply (wipe on) several coats and this stain dries in minutes so the whole process is short. It is really easy to get uniform results with this stain.
