15" planer, Promatic vs Jet

Is there any difference in the Promatic 15HH and Jet JWP-15HH, besides the paint? I would like to hear the good and bad from owners of these machines.

I would agree with that. The motor went out on mine < 2 years in. The replacement motor was cover buy the credit card. If it wasn't, I would still be money ahead. Some things where the designs are dramatically different and I want some different features I would go to another brand but planer and jointers are pretty basic that I would stick with Grizzly. Some will argue that bearings are bigger in the PM. That is usually true but not worth 3x the price to me. For the most part Jet and Grizzly use the same size bearings.
