Best Lathe Speciality Tool Or Tool you have/use?

What would be the best lathe speciality tool or lathe tool you ever bought or have. When I bought my PM 90 there was this homemade tail stock live center (no point) that was with it. It was froze up, but I got it freed up soaking in oil. I have never seen anything like it and didn't really know what it was for. I now use it a lot as I can make centers for it for various jamb chuck options. I'll post a picture later. What's your favorite?
When working I had more money than time. In retirement I have more time than money. Love the time, miss the money.

Favorite? I guess that my R. Sorby tool rests qualify. Several different configurations. Straight, "S" curves for inside and outside turning, and a flat tool rest. Hard, smooth, and a pleasure to use.

I have invested a LOT of money in my woodturning endeavor. My goal... to turn large hollow forms. Besides my lathe which I believe to be the best hollow-form lathe on the planet (but that is another topic), the one tool that really simplifies the hollowing process for me is the Trent Bosch "Visualizer". I tried using a laser but found it to be unreliable, and fussy.

My best specialty tool would have to be the information tool available with some forums and AAW membership.

I concur with David. But I'd add that my Oneway Talon chuck to be a close second.

I've been turnin' a couple years now. I don't any fancy tools yet, but I'd have to say my favorite tools are common sense, research, & the skew.
