    Band Saw Tracking

I got a new band saw last year. I'm having a bit of a problem with blade tracking. I'm wanting the blade to ride in the center of the wheel but each time I get the blade just about to the crown it jumps to the other side. I wonder what causes this. Do the tires need dressing ? What is the purpose of dressing the tires ?

What BS, what blade, what type of tires, tension?
Too many questions before we can help.

On the other hand, I still have five fingers.

You want the bottom of the gullets to ride in center of upper wheel. You could have too much tension on blade.
