Anyway, it was my turn to share something and I know you don't want to see the ugly spoons I've been carving. Eeesh!
Regarding the copper veneer, I was looking for traditional burl or such, but noticed the copper veneer at veneersupplies dot com. He suggests and sells an adhesive for the job. I did the drawer fronts indivdually and oversized by a bit. I clamped it to 1/4 bb plywood (edged in hardwood) between a couple layers of 3/4 ply. I trimmed it same as any other drawer front, only being very careful to cut, and plane into the backer board. You can easily cut it with scissors. It was easy to use. One mistake I made was using solvents to wipe off some of the glue mess. Ooops. I removed the lacquer and it showed. So I took all the lacquer off the whole enchilada to get it all the same. I re-sprayed it with deft and it came right back to the original shimmer.
