    Phoenix - Turning Blocks?

Going to be in Phoenix this week and wondered if there was anyplace that had great turning blocks for bowls.

6 years ago I was in Tucson and bought something for $2 out of the scrap barrel. It turned out to be my wife's favorite bowl; some sort of extremely hard quilted wood. I don't expect to get that lucky, but something interesting would be nice.

It was priced per pound and you could find some chunks usable for pen blanks or stopper blanks but not much more...

Where are John Keeton and Steve Schlumpf anyway?

Went there today while my wife was at the pool.
Nice store that I wish was near me. Not really a destination though.
They were running a20% off sale and I found a block of figured chakta vita to make it worthwhile.
