    1 or 2 Scroll Saws

I happened to acquire 2 scroll saws, a vintage Rockwell Delta 40-400 and a Hawke 226. Space is becoming an issue in my shop and I was thinking of selling one of these. I haven't used scroll saws much and was wondering which one would serve me better.

Delta makes a good boat anchor. Hawk hands down. I own a Hawk 220vs, a hawk 226VS a Hegner 18VS a Dewalt 788VS Keeping all of the above till I am dead in the ground. I may take the Hawk 220 with me though.

find a DEEP pond & drop the rockwell in it. I had 220VS & it was an awesome saw! I traded it for a BM 26 Hawk, & it's the Cadillac of scroll saws! Keep the Hawk! You won't be disappointed. jmo.

This is a case of where the old iron is not the better choice. The RBI/Hawk, is one of the best scroll saws around. Keep it.

The vintage delta is still an okay saw though right? Maybe it doesn't match up to a Hawk but is it better than some of those cheap new deltas and ryobi's?

Wow, this turned out simpler than expected. The Delta will be history.
