I posted a clip of my disc sanders Runout on YouTube. If you have the time, please check it out and tell me if it is excessive run out.

I've got an older Delta. The disk has one spot that is slightly lower than the other parts of the disk. I also have a machine shop made 12" disk sander. The disk is 3/8" aluminum turned true. For disks, I raid the sand paper bin at local Klingspor for stock to cut disks from. Use spray adhesive to attach them. That's how they all used to be attached, either with spray, or stick of adhesive. I can remove and reuse a disk. Each year, doing Toys for Tot's cars, I go through 10 - 20 disks, so the PSA ones are too expensive

Shaft runout can be trued. But check it first.

I use the self stick discs. But some have inferior adhesive.
