    I am Opa!

I became grandpa at 2:53 am today when Victoria (Tori) Rose Kelly was born.

We chose Oma and Opa as our names for the little girl to call us. We just liked the sound of the German names.

Grand babies are the best. That old saying rings true; "If I'd known that grandkids were so much fun, I would have had them first".
    Love my grands!
    BTW, Congratulations.

You may have chosen your names, but it's a rite of passage for first born grand child to name their grand parents. We're Nana and Papa. The reason grand kids and grand parents get along so well, is they have a common enemy.

Congrats there Opa. I had to wait until I became a GREAT grandfather before my better half would allow Opa & Oma to be used. From now on "tears of joy" are welcomed! Trust me it just keeps getting better. Blessings to your whole crew. Justin

High Five Opa! I am Papi to two boys, 6 and almost 2! So much wonderfulness awaits you. There is already a tea party invitation with your name on it scheduled for sometime in 2021...
Dress appropriately and don't forget to tip the piggy bank handsomely. (Leading up to the event, make sure there is a piggy bank)

Now learn this phrase and repeat it often : "Opa don't do diapers"
