    Oil Base Primer over Wallpaper

    Guys I google how to paint over wallpaper and Ms Google said to use an oil base primer over the wall paper.I have a local HD near me and I just don't remember ever seeing an oil base primer.Does HD have an oil base primer or is it just kilz primer they sell?Little home remodeling going-----Carroll

    If there's any chance you will still be in that house when it's decided that a decent paint job means removing the wallpaper, do it now. Doing it after it's painted with oil-based primer plus one, two or a dozen finish coats will cause you to draw on vocabulary and skills you didn't know you had in you - and could live perfectly well without.

    I did that in one room of my old house. I now wish I would not have done it. I used original oil base Kills. Then painted latex over it.
